Kazari Sushi

Ingredients (Serves 4)
  • 4 cups of Tamaki Rice
  • 1/2 cup of sushi rice vinegar
  • 2 sheets of nori seaweed
  • 1 pack of Yukari (red shiso leaves)
  • 1 cheese string
  • Soy sauce

  • Preparation
    1. Make sushi rice by adding sushi vinegar to cooked Tamaki Rice while it is warm.
    2. Add Yukari into sushi rice and mix slightly until rice has a light purple color.
    3. Take out one nori seaweed sheet and cut evenly into 5 small pieces.
    4. Put a small amount of sushi rice on the small nori seaweed sheet, and roll into a small rice stick. Repeat and make five sticks of them to use later as flower petals.
    5. Put a cheese string at the center and roll together with the five sticks into the petal section.

    Place another big nori seaweed sheet down, and put uncolored sushi rice on it.

    Put the petal section on top of the uncolored rice and roll together, so the petal section is wrapped inside.

    Cut the entire sushi roll into small pieces (about a half inch in width).

    Garnish with wasabi and soy sauce.
