Elegant Eel Sushi

Ingredients (Serves 4)
  • 1 piece of unagi
  • 2 cups of Tamaki Rice
  • 3 tbsp of vinegar
  • 1 tsp of sugar
  • 1 piece of cucumber
  • 1 pack of kaiware daikon
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 ramekin (porcelain pudding cup)

  • Preparation
    1. Insert the eel around the inside wall of the ramekin.
    2. Make sushi rice by adding vinegar and sugar.
    3. Mix chopped cucumber and avocado along with Tamaki Rice in the center of the ramekin, filling it completely.
    4. Push hard on the ramekin. (Be sure to push hard so that the Tamaki Rice won't break apart when you remove the cup.)
    5. Flip the ramekin cup and remove it.
    6. Add the kaiware daikon on top for an accent and added flavor. (Add ikura for more color, if you wish.)
